What if objects could talk to objects?

An Internet of things, in which everyday objects can connect to the Internet and share information within it, is ever more possible.
SPL/T is a platform based on a hypothetical future scenario (dated around 2050) in which objects will have the ability to store information about their owners and share this information between each other within a network, providing new services and facilities to the users.
The platform allows to create and manage social network of objects, and take advantage from the facilities provided from the object networks, and the results of these facilities are strictly related to the users, because they come from the intersection of the diverse knowledge that objects store about the owners.

The mobile application

The main tool through which we can create and manage object social networks is a smartphone application.
SPL/T, besides being a scenario about the next Internet era, is also the smartphone application which allow users to connect their objects and take advantage from the facilities provided.
Through his smartphone, the user will be able to interface to individual objects in order to set their behaviors, create relationships between different objects and choose what kinds of facilities to take advantage from the network created.

The future of consumer goods industry

This hypothetical scenario suggests that the paradigms of interaction between people and objects will change radically, as will a wide range of consumer goods.
In a scenario like SPL/T, a new market section will change our shopping criteria almost completely, and of course, it will change the market too: the way designers will think about new products and the services related to them, the way manufacturers will produce those products, and the way consumer goods industry will create a new economy around that.
